More Information than You Wanted to Know about Patrick
So when designing this website (s/o to SquareSpace because I had no idea how to make a website), I decided on the above Mike Nichols quote for two simple reasons: 1) Nichols was alien-from-another-planet-seeking-only-to-better-humanity brilliant, and any truism I try to cobble together would never lick the boots of his genius. 2) He's right here especially.
Filmmaking is a huge chance, but it's a chance at making art that fights apathy with empathy. And that's important. This is the chance that I am taking with my work and my life, and according to Mr. Nichols, that's all I can do.
Anyway, I grew up in Woodridge, IL. Went to school for a bit. Went to Northwestern for a bit longer. Then, I moved to LA. Other than that, I love classic films, eating breakfast, and you for getting this far down the page.
